About TKIL Industries: Products and Services
TKIL Industries has a legacy spanning over 75 years, having been established in 1947, the year India gained independence. The company’s journey began in Pune, Maharashtra, with a strong focus on the sugar industry, driven by the region’s abundant sugarcane production and the presence of numerous sugar mills.
Over the decades, TKIL has strategically diversified its operations. In 1976, the company expanded into the mining sector, followed by entry into the cement industry in 1980. Subsequently, TKIL strengthened its presence in the energy sector, catering to core industrial requirements.
In recent years, the company has further diversified into emerging and future-focused segments such as green hydrogen, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and ethanol production, aligning with India’s sustainability and energy transition goals. In 2018, TKIL expanded its mining portfolio by entering the mining and aggregate crushing segment through the acquisition of a specialised company, strengthening its capabilities in infrastructure-supporting equipment.
At this exhibition, TKIL is particularly focused on its infrastructure-oriented solutions, as the showcased equipment directly supports the construction and infrastructure sectors. In addition to engineering and project execution, TKIL has a strong operations and maintenance (O&M) portfolio, managing plants across India. The company employs approximately 5,000 professionals across various project sites nationwide.
Role of Government Policies in TKIL’s Growth
India continues to rely significantly on coal-based thermal power generation, which remains a major contributor to the country’s energy mix. With the government planning substantial capacity additions in thermal power over the coming years, coal production is steadily increasing. At the same time, there is a strong push towards self-reliance, reducing dependence on imported coal. This has resulted in sustained growth in the mining sector, directly supporting TKIL’s core businesses.
In parallel, the government’s strong emphasis on infrastructure development, particularly in road construction under the leadership of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has accelerated growth across the infrastructure value chain. TKIL is also expanding into newer verticals such as ports and shipbuilding, aiming to support India’s broader infrastructure and logistics ecosystem.
Additionally, government focus on green energy, sustainability, and hydrogen development has opened new opportunities. TKIL has already begun working in these areas and is receiving encouraging enquiries for its emerging green energy verticals.
25 Years of EXCON: Experience and Footfall
TKIL has been participating in EXCON for several years and has consistently received a strong response from the exhibition. In previous editions, the company showcased products such as the RBC 4000 cone crusher, highlighting its engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
As part of the TIS Group, Germany, TKIL also hosts international stakeholders and partners at the event, further strengthening global collaboration. EXCON continues to be a valuable platform for TKIL to engage with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders, and the company looks forward to leveraging the exhibition’s growing scale and reach each year.
